How to Scale Laser Files with Percentages
If you have a vector file that needs to be scaled, you can simply scale it with percentages. This will allow for more flexibility in scaling the file to different sizes and shapes.
I put together a quick video to teach you how I do that easily! This should work with any software you use that allows scaling by percentages.

Start by finding the original design’s height or width. In this case, I’m choosing the height. When I select it I’m shown it is 8 inches tall.
Next, let’s use a formula to find what percent of blank is blank?
Basically, we’re are entering our desired height into the first blank and the original height in the final blank.
This gives us a percentage when we use this calculator.
Now, apply the scaling of this new percentage you get to all of your items so they all scale perfectly for your laser cutting projects.
